This Privacy Policy describes how Christian Fellowship Calgary ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website and our mobile app (together, the "Services") or when you otherwise interact with us.

Information You Give Us

We collect the information you enter in our forms:

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the reason for your message, and the message itself. It is sent by email to our church office, and a copy is sent to you.
• Newsletter: your email address and where you signed up. We send a confirmation email first, and you are subscribed only after you confirm.
• Event registration: your name, email address, phone number, the number of people attending, and any dietary needs or comments.
• Giving: your name and email address, and your phone number and postal address if you give them, so we can issue tax receipts. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure payment page. We never see or store your card number.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we count page views with our own simple counter:

• We record the page you visited, the website that sent you to us, your type of device, browser and operating system, and the city, region and country of your approximate network location.
• We do not use cookies, and we do not store your IP address.
• To count each visitor once a day, we make a code from your network address and browser that changes every day. The value used to make it is deleted each night, after which the code cannot be linked to you.
• These page view records are deleted after 90 days.

Visit records from our previous website, which include network addresses and approximate locations, are kept and can be seen only by church administrators.

Services We Use

Some parts of our Services rely on other companies:

• Vercel hosts the website, and Neon stores our database.
• Cloudflare stores our media files and checks contact form submissions for spam.
• Resend sends our emails.
• Stripe processes card gifts.
• Twilio sends the church's text messages to members.
• Google Cast plays a teaching on your TV if you press Cast. Google's casting code loads only when you press it.
• Google Maps shows our location on the Plan a Visit and Contact pages. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.
• Google Firebase delivers push notifications to our mobile app if you allow them.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Answer your messages and prayer requests
• Send the newsletter you asked for
• Organize the events you register for
• Process gifts and issue tax receipts
• Understand how the website is used, so we can improve it
• Keep the Services secure and prevent spam and fraud

Sharing Your Information

We share your information only:

• With the services listed above, so they can do their work for us
• When the law requires it
• To protect the safety of Christian Fellowship Calgary, our members or others
• With your consent

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. Only church administrators can see the personal information you send us.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information.

Your Choices

• Newsletter: every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe on our Unsubscribe page.
• Push notifications: you can turn them off at any time in your phone's settings.
• Your information: to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, contact us at the address below.

If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the date below.
